The full name of the post is "Taichung Post 727" located in Taichung, Taiwan, Republic of China. The post has had a high of 150 members in 1972. The current membership has been steady for the past five years at 89 members with 79 life and 10 annual.

In 1971 the Post established a Post Home with canteen, which ceased operations in the late eighties. The post in 1983 voted to accept the transfer of Pup Tent 15 from Post 89(Tainan) to Taichung; however by 1991 the Cooties surrendered their charter. The post has never changed location, consolidated, nor disestablished and later re-established.

There have been two members of the Post that served as Department Commanders; Harry A. Bowser (1979-1980) and Bill Wichmann (2001-2002). The Post has had one National officer; Bill Wichmann the Chairman of the National Military Assistance Program (2002-2003).
