DPA Mid Term C of A Details and proposed Schedule

A touch of Class

Comrades;
We have chosen to go a slightly different route for the Mid Term Convention this year.  We will follow the National and Department leadership and bring the C of A back to the family/community environment.  This Years Theme: “A Touch of Class
 
GOLF OUTING FRIDAY 5 DEC 0800: We will start this convention with a “Friendly Round of Golf” This is not a tournament, just a group of guys (and girls) who want to play a round.  We will play an inexpensive club about 35 KM north of town, on the Philippines Naval Base At San Antonio. (San Miguel) This is a 12 hole course that we will play at 18 by replaying 5 through 10. (Par 72).  The cost is $25.00 including Caddy (required) and a small donation for gas for the driver who will provide your transportation. This is a cheap round and even if you have never played before, one of your companions will be willing to share his clubs with you.  Duffers, bring your clubs. The course has only 2 sets of rental clubs.  We’ll leave the Post at 08:00 (5 Dec.).
 
COOTIE SOCIAL FRIDAY 5 DEC 1400-1800: The Cooties Social will be at Post 11447.  This is a Family Social, Featuring a BBQ with “Lechon” (Philippine roast pig) Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Potato Salad, Baked Beans, Open swimming pool, Live band. Fun for the entire family. Only $15.00 per person for 4 hours.
 
ALL AMERICAN LUNCHEON SATURDAY 6 DEC 1400: All American luncheon, all invited ($11.00) will be at the Blue Rock Resort, less than 100 meters from the hotel.

BANQUET SATURDAY 6 DEC 1800:  C of A banquet, all invited ($20.00) Buffet style: Choice of Chicken, Beef or Seafood with trimmings.  Will be in the Wild Orchid Hotel.

HOSPITALITY SUITE: The “Hospitality Suite” is at Post 11447 and is for adults only, sorry no children allowed. Free drinks will be available to members and spouses from 19:00 until 23:00.

All meetings will be in the Wild Orchid Hotel Convention Room


Saturday 6 Dec:
- Breakfast Buffet available at the hotel or at the Post home – Your choice.
0900 - 1330 Cooties Grand Scratch.
1400 - All American luncheon—all invited ($11.00) will be at the Blue Rock Resort, less than 100 meters from the hotel.
1800 - C of A banquet  All invited ($20.00) Buffet style: Choice of Chicken, Beef or Seafood with trimmings.

Sunday 7 Dec:
- Breakfast will be early: Buffet at the hotel and at the Post optional
0715 -  Pearl Harbor Day celebration @ the “Hell Ships” memorial, SBMA.  Local Officials and media have been invited to attend.
All veterans are encouraged to attend. Transportation will be provided from the Hotel.  If you don’t have knowledge of this memorial, please read here:  http://www.hellshipsmemorial.org/
0800 -  General Meeting of the Department. When this meeting adjourns, we are finished. Please check out from your room at the hotel prior to this meeting. A secure storage place will be provided for your luggage while you are attending the meeting.
